If your observations are just text - type them in normally.
If you've got a scanned picture, you can put an image in a post by using the tags. Just replace the web address with the web address of your image.
Your image must be on the web somewhere for this to work. There are a lot of free image hosting sites out there (try a quick google search) if it is not already. If you're really struggling I can host the image on this site. Email it to photos@geologyrocks.co.uk
